It can turn the device on/off, and change the sound. Among the sleep sounds, my go-to sound is the Hush sound. My baby's so used to a shusher, and the Hush sound does wonders. I own the Rest+ 2nd Gen sound machine as well and use it at home, but I was disappointed that it didn't offer the shushing noise, prompting me to use a separate shusher. But because the Hatch Go has the Hush sound, it is all I need when I'm out and about.
