Look at this unique chair!

I was at a design expo, and this booth caught my eye. James Piatt was featuring its Obseratory Lounge, Utopia Stackable Planters, Strike Table and Aluminator Lamp, and every piece was iconic and unique.

I was cordially encouraged to take a seat and "experience" the Observatory Lounge. The hexagonal shapes and fun array of colors first caught my attention, and I was even more impressed with just how comfortable the chair was!

And this chair's so colorful and vibrant!

I spoke to the designer and CEO, James Piatt, and he shared how he wanted to create a unique Mid-Century Modern lounge chair that is both comfortable and artistic.

Each seat cushion uses rigid plywood for support and medium and light density foam layers for comfort. And then it is wrapped in full grain leather.

The chair is also available in the Tan color, if you're looking for something more subdued and neutral.

Truly a versatile lounge chair - catching up on your emails, enjoying a drink, or simply just chilling.

The seat cushions are thick and supportive.

I think this lounge chair is the perfect fit for play rooms or game rooms, paired with James Piatt's Strike Table - a coffee table with bowling balls as legs/support.

The pop of color adds visual interest to any space, and adding a lounge chair is always a good way to fill up a corner.
