People have different tastes and lifestyles, and they decorate their bedrooms accordingly. Some like to read, so good lighting is a must-have by the bed, and some keep framed family photos, freshly-cut flowers, or scented candles on nightstands. My nightstand consists of more or so the same things – a table lamp and a cute photo of my dog, and it always has a room spray to keep my linens fresh and a body lotion.

I don’t care for scented candles, especially in my bedroom because the air gets too stuffy easily. Instead, I use a light room spray to keep my linens smelling fresh and create a more welcoming atmosphere. I’ve tried oh-so-many air sprays (room sprays, linen sprays, or similar) over the years, and it took me many tries to find the one that I love. I like to keep everything light and airy in my bedroom because heavier and muskier scents tend to give me headaches. Jo Malone’s Scent Surround™ Linen Spray by far has the most refreshing and calming scent.

Surround™ Linen Spray

It’s scented in a soothing lavender aroma that helps with stress. I spritz it around the room or directly on my pillow before bed, and it’s so calming and serene. I love it.

It doesn’t cause me to sneeze and is subtle enough, so it doesn’t interfere with my sleep or breathing.

The nozzle dispenses the spray in a form of fine mist, so it doesn’t stain the bedding or furniture. Some faulty sprays dispense in drips and drops, leading to blotchy stains, which can be so frustrating to remove.

The gender-neutral lavender scent is surely going to elevate your sleep.

And I must have a body lotion by the bed because my hands and arms get dry all the time. Of course, I’m too lazy to walk up to the bathroom, so I just decided to keep a bottle on my nightstand. I really like Aesop’s Geranium Leaf Body Balm. It smells wonderful and keeps my skin well-hydrated.

Ok. The scent.

It smells like the most upscale spa on the Upper East Side! The scent is a blend of geranium leaf, mandarin rind, and bergamot rind – so therapeutic.

And the brown bottle looks cute next to my bed, looking all therapeutic and spa-like.

If you’re into aromatherapy, you have got to check out Aesop products.

They all smell wonderful and are gender-neutral and moisturizing.

It keeps my hands moisturized, but it isn’t too oily. It sinks into the skin and absorbs quickly, so my bedding doesn’t get greasy. And when your skin’s sticky from greasy lotion, it starts collecting all sorts of dust and dirt that leads directly to a major breakout. With the Geranium Leaf Body Balm, I don’t have to wait long till my hands dry, and my hands don’t attract dust.
