Bottega Veneta Bridge Mule Sandals Review

My husband loves Bottega Veneta, so I got him a pair of leather slides as an early birthday gift.

Bottega Veneta has the softest and most supple leather, and its shoes do not disappoint. I was a bit skeptical that the leather (100% calfskin) was too soft to be used as footwear, but my husband promised me that he would be very gentle and careful, so I guess we'll be keeping them.

I bought them in a store, and when you shop in person, you get this ultra-flashy, neon green Bottega bag. I'm not too crazy about the new Bottega colors (does anyone miss the understated brown boxes of Bottega Veneta?), but I like the more modern interpretation of its signature intrecciato pattern.

These are the Bridge Sandals in black.

I snagged the last pair at the store!

My husband tells me they are the softest and most comfortable shoes he's ever worn. He does have a lot of comfy loafers and slides, but he claims that these are the best when it comes to comfort.

The higher arch gently wraps his feet and supports them without making them feel overly constricted.

I believe there were several other colors, but I knew he wanted black, so I didn't hesitate.

The shoes feel a lot more luxurious and "expensive" in person.

The magic is all in the leather.

The shoes have a rubber outsole and lambskin lining.

I would not recommend wearing these out on a rainy day, but these make really good weekend/brunch/running errand shoes.

The shoes run true to size.
