We can't believe how fast Thanksgiving is approaching! 

Trader Joe's is our go-to grocery store, and it's always so fun browsing new seasonal goodies. This year, this cookie kit caught our eyes. 

Not sure if this is brand new, but this was our first time seeing it, and looked quite fun. 

Trader Joe's "A Turkey Walks Into a Pumpkin Patch Cookie Kit" contains 8 cookies, 2 icing packets, 2 sprinkle packets, and 1 sanding sugar packet for an easy and fun at-home cookie decor session. 

Everything you need to create Thanksgiving-themed sugar cookies is included in the cookie kit. 

We love how the icing packets are conical-shaped for easier and more precise dispensing. 

There are 4 different cookie shapes. Which one should we decorate first? 

The acorn seemed like the easiest pattern, so as a start, we decided to decorate the acorn. 

Just so you know, we're complete novices when it comes to baking and putting on icing, so bear with us even though the icing isn't perfect! 

Once we put the icing on, we added some sprinkles and sanding sugar to make it more festive. 

And then we did the pumpkin. 

And we decorated all the cookies! The icing and sprinkle packets that were included in the kit were more than enough to decorate all 8 cookies. We actually had some leftover, so Trader Joe's didn't skimp on the ingredients. 

They're not as sweet as other Trader Joe's chocolate-covered holiday treats, but this kit was more about being interactive and having fun with friends and family. Decorating cookies and talking about what we're going to eat for Thanksgiving this year was a very engaging and therapeutic experience for us.
