Everyone on keyboard forums acts like this is life-changing but they're also all gamers, not people typing emails for 8 hours. Wondering if the hype holds up for boring office work.
I thought mechanical keyboards were one of those hobbies where people convince themselves a $200 keyboard changed their life.
...and then I bought a NuPhy Air75 V2.
It's low-profile, so it doesn't force your wrists into an awkward angle like chunky gaming keyboards. Mine has Cowberry switches, which are quiet enough that nobody in Zoom calls has ever commented on them, but they still have that satisfying mechanical feel.
The biggest surprise wasn't speed—it was fatigue. By 4 or 5 PM my fingers didn't feel as "beat up" after writing documents all day.
And it actually looks like something Apple would've designed instead of screaming RGB gamer cave.
