I haven't tried Little Spoon, so I can't really compare the two, but from my personal experience, I like Nurture Life because the meals are more filling, higher in protein, and nutritionally balanced. The portions are generous, and the flavors feel more savory and well-developed, making them a great transition to regular family meals. Plus, I appreciate that they incorporate a good mix of vegetables and whole grains without excess sugar.

I went straight to Nurture Life as it was more affordable and had better nutrition.

I prefer Nurture Life over Little Spoon because the meals feel more nutritionally balanced, with higher protein, more fiber, and lower sugar—which I appreciate for keeping my toddler full and energized. The portions are also more substantial, so I don’t have to supplement meals as often. The flavors are more savory and well-rounded, making them feel closer to homemade food rather than just toddler-friendly bites.

While Little Spoon is great for variety and picky eaters, I found that some meals were too mild or slightly sweet, and the portions were smaller, meaning my toddler wasn’t always satisfied. If you have a picky eater, Little Spoon might be the better fit, but for a more well-rounded, nutrient-dense option, Nurture Life wins for me.

Both Nurture Life and Little Spoon are solid options for toddler meal delivery, but they cater to slightly different needs.

1. PRICE

  • Nurture Life: Starts at $6.99 per meal, with bulk discounts available.

  • Little Spoon: Plates start at $5.99 per meal, making it slightly cheaper.

2. TASTE

  • Nurture Life: More savory, balanced flavors, slightly closer to what an adult would eat.

  • Little Spoon: More kid-friendly, milder flavors, some meals lean sweeter.

It'll really depend on your toddler! If your child is more adventurous, Nurture Life is better. If they like milder flavors, Little Spoon wins.

3. NUTRITION (Macro/Micro Breakdown)

  • Nurture Life:

    • Higher in protein (10g+ in most meals)

    • Better veggie inclusion

    • Lower in sodium & sugar

  • Little Spoon:

    • Lower protein (~5-7g per meal)

    • Some meals have more natural sugars

    • Still nutritious, but slightly less balanced for macros

4. SERVING SIZE

  • Nurture Life: Larger portions (great if your toddler eats well).

  • Little Spoon: Smaller portions (ideal for picky eaters but may not be filling).

5. VARIETY

  • Nurture Life: 30+ meal options, rotates often, includes finger foods & full meals.

  • Little Spoon: 15-20 meal options, fun shapes, more snack-focused but good meal variety.

I'd say the overall winner is Nurture Life as it offers more balanced nutrition, higher protein, better portion sizes, and less sugar. If you want a lower price point, smaller portions, and more snack-like options, Little Spoon's better.
