Pottery classes after watching random TikToks during lockdown. Now half my cabinets contain slightly uneven bowls I’m emotionally attached to. And then once I get into pottery, then my interest naturally moved onto indoor plants. It started with “one plant for vibes” and somehow evolved into knowing soil types and humidity preferences like a suburban forest witch.

I wasn't looking for a hobby. I was trying to find a nicer pen for my planner.

Then I stumbled across a Reddit thread about fountain pens. Now I own more ink colors than any reasonable person should.

There's something weirdly satisfying about matching inks to seasons, paper types, and moods. It also got me journaling more because writing actually became enjoyable.

It sounds old-fashioned until you try it. Then suddenly you're discussing Japanese nib sizes with strangers on the internet.
