Extra Details:

I heard it's a pretty ritzy town, especially in winter, and I'd like to dress accordingly and blend in. Are there any particular styles or brands that are popular? My friends are going to ski, but I'm mostly going to be riding gondolas and chilling.

Aspen in January is all about functional luxury—think elevated winter chic with a mix of performance and high fashion.

For Skiing/Snowboarding (Luxury + Performance)

  • Bogner – Chic, tailored ski jackets and pants (the Aspen go-to).
  • Moncler Grenoble – High-fashion ski gear that’s ultra warm.

For Après-Ski & Town Wear

  • Brunello Cucinelli – Cashmere sweaters and elevated winter essentials.
  • Loro Piana – Ultra-luxe cashmere everything.
  • Gorski – Luxe fur coats and statement outerwear.

Personally, I love Moon Boots - they're like made for Aspen.

Moon Boots are straight-up iconic — they give that retro, slightly ridiculous but somehow super chic "rich girl on a ski trip" energy. They were originally designed in the '70s as après-ski boots, inspired by the Apollo moon landing (hence the name), and now they're having this massive fashion comeback.

The vibe is very "I don't actually ski, I just drink hot toddies by the fire", but they will keep your feet warm in freezing temps. The trick is styling them without looking like you're going to a themed party — go for the Icon Low style in white, black, or nude if you want them to feel a little more low-key. Pair them with a sleek ski suit or oversized puffer jacket, and suddenly you're giving Aspen It-Girl instead of clunky snowman.

They also photograph REALLY well in snowy settings — very "rich but approachable" energy.

Would 1000% recommend.

If you want to blend in with Aspen’s chic winter crowd, check out Ogier. It’s a high-end French ski brand with a boutique right in town, and their pieces are a perfect mix of performance and luxury. Their tailored ski jackets, sleek pants, and insulated layers have that effortless “I belong here” look, whether you're actually skiing or just hanging out at Cloud Nine. Plus, their designs are modern and sophisticated, so you won’t feel like you’re drowning in oversized puffer coats.

For après-ski style, Ogier also has amazing cashmere sweaters, quilted vests, and refined winter accessories that give off that polished, European ski lodge vibe. Their pieces are definitely an investment, but if you want something stylish, functional, and Aspen-approved, it’s worth checking out. Pair one of their fitted ski jackets with some Goldbergh or Perfect Moment pants and a chic beanie, and you’ll fit right in with the stylish set.
