It is scented in yuzu flower, but it's not overwhelming and doesn't linger for long. You may not like it if you're specifically looking for unscented hand soap; however, it's not at all heavy fragrance hand soap.
The dispenser is the fun part.
Foamed soap gets dispensed from the top nozzle when you press it down with your palm, and you get a flower-shaped foam soap!
I own an automatic soap dispenser from Simplehuman. I don’t usually get replenishing products from the matching brand as they are pricier and not necessarily of high quality. However, I really like the liquid soap refills from Simplehuman, and I find myself coming back to it again and again.
Upon purchase of the sensor soap dispenser, Simplehuman recommends using its liquid soap refills to ensure even dispensing and to prevent clogs and drips. I have tried other soap brands like EO, Seventh Generation, and Amazon brand to refill the dispenser, and I didn’t have any issues whatsoever. Functionality-wise, you can go with any soap brand of your choice if you prefer a specific brand of product. As long as the soap isn’t too thick and doesn’t contain exfoliating beads, the dispenser should be compatible.
Compared to EO, one of my favorite soap brands, the Simplehuman soap is much more economical. Even the value size EO bottle is much more expensive than the Simplehuman refill.
EO French Lavender Hand Soap costs $0.51/Fl Oz (based on the 32 OZ refill bottle)
Simplehuman Refill Hand Soap costs $0.21/Fl Oz (based on the 34 OZ pouch)
Both soaps got my hands cleaned without overdrying, and the consistencies were very similar. And Simplehuman soap comes in a Lavender scent as well and therefore makes an appealing option. Yes, the EO French Lavender has a stronger and more genuine lavender scent as it contains lavender essential oils. Still, the Simplehuman is a great contender with a great price tag.
Since these refill pouches are designed to refill the soap dispensers, pouring down the soap is quick and easy. The spout slowly pours without clumping. Once the soap is empty, the pouch flattens like an empty Capri-Sun pouch. It virtually takes no space in the trash bag compared to the huge plastic refill bottles. Living with 4 kids, our trash bins always pile up quickly, so trash compacting is a big deal for me. Ha!
The soap is biodegradable, hypoallergenic, and sulfate free. It also doesn’t contain toxins, parabens, and DEAs. If you’re allergic to fragrances, there is a fragrance-free soap as well.
The soap comes in 6 fragrances, and Lavender is my favorite.
