Extra Details:

We just moved to Minnesota, and it’s way colder than anything my Italian Greyhound is used to! My IG is tiny, short-coated, and definitely not built for harsh winters. I want to find the best cozy winter gear and home products that’ll actually keep her warm and comfortable — not just cute. Think functional warmth for walks, indoor snuggles, and everything in between.

Don’t skip boots! These waterproof fleece ones keep her tiny paws warm and dry, and they stay on better than I expected. You can get them from Walmart.

If you live somewhere truly cold, skip cute knits and just get Hurtta’s Extreme Warmer. Feels very “technical outdoor gear" - and it blocks wind far better than fleece.

It’s basically a ski jacket for dogs. Windproof + insulated + belly coverage + high neck. My short-haired dog stopped shivering on walks once we switched because it covers chest and thighs, where they lose heat the most.
