Post surgery dog that is scared of e-collar from the vet
Requirements:
Function just as well as a plastic e-collar
Extra Details:
My dog is terrified of the e-collar my vet put on her and is refusing to move. I feel so bad as she needs to wear it for several days. Are there any softer/gentler options that also prevent my dog from getting to the incision site?
I used this collar for my dog post-op, and it was great. This was a lot more comfortable than the cheap, plastic collars vets give you.
The collar is easily inflatable, and the circumference guide is accurate. I was hesitant that the collar was going to be too small for my English Staffy, but it was actually perfect.
She couldn't reach the incision site, and she resumed her regular daily activities like eating, sleeping, and playing just fine without much interruption.
If your dog is terrified of the plastic e-collar, it might be because her visibility is limited as those vet e-collars tend to be bigger. The inflatable collars will solve the problem if limited visibility was the culprit.
