Extra Details:

I've cleared out a bedroom, so I could convert it into a home gym. The room is about 11' x 13'. Since it's not the largest room, I need to be strategic about the equipment I put in. I'd like to get as diverse equipment as the space permits. What should I get?

If you're looking to splurge on a high-quality elliptical - Technogym Cross Personal.

It's my dream machine and I'd have gotten this in a heartbeat if I had the budget for it. It's super sleek, with that modern design, and the tech features are on point. The touchscreen display and built-in entertainment options make workouts way more enjoyable, plus it’s really smooth and quiet, which is key for a home setup. It’s a luxury piece of equipment, but if you’re serious about your fitness and want something that feels professional, it's worth considering.

I love my Peloton tread.

I use it daily to get the 10,000 steps in. I like the fact that I can walk at my own pace whenever. Usually after dinner, I walk for half an hour.

Yes, Peloton requires a monthly subscription service if you want to use their workout programs, but it's quite useful and keeps me motivated to work out consistently. And that's crucial in a home gym setup.

They’re lightweight and portable, so you can add them to home setups or take them on the go. Resistance bands are fantastic for strength training, stretching, and even rehab exercises, offering a range of resistance levels without heavy equipment. They also allow for smooth, controlled movements, making it easier to target specific muscles, especially for exercises that require precision, like glute or core work.
