11' x 13' home gym

Budget:

medium-tier to premium

Requirements:

long lasting

good customer service or warranty

Extra Details:

I've cleared out a bedroom, so I could convert it into a home gym. The room is about 11' x 13'. Since it's not the largest room, I need to be strategic about the equipment I put in. I'd like to get as diverse equipment as the space permits. What should I get?

If you’re going for versatility in a compact space, Technogym’s Rack Personal is a good one. It’s sleek, doesn’t hog a ton of room, and gives you a crazy amount of exercise options for its size. Think squats, presses, deadlifts—you name it. It’s designed to look good (which is rare for gym equipment). Pair it with a bench and maybe some adjustable dumbbells, and you’ve got a killer setup without overcrowding your space. It’s practically made for people who want both function and style in a home gym. The only con I could think of is the price, but if you're going to invest in something that's also beautiful to look at, I think the price is justifiable.

Technogym's Bench is another dream piece I'd have in my fantasy home gym. So sleek and versatile.

I love my Peloton tread.

I use it daily to get the 10,000 steps in. I like the fact that I can walk at my own pace whenever. Usually after dinner, I walk for half an hour.

Yes, Peloton requires a monthly subscription service if you want to use their workout programs, but it's quite useful and keeps me motivated to work out consistently. And that's crucial in a home gym setup.

The Rogue Monster Lite Half Rack is a solid piece and is reasonably priced for a home gym. It’s a versatile piece, providing a full rack's functionality while taking up less space, which is ideal because you're working with limited room.

As with all Rogue equipment, it’s durable, made of high-quality steel, and has a sturdy 3x3" 11-gauge frame that holds up well for heavy lifting.

The Monster Lite system is modular, so you can customize it with attachments like pull-up bars, storage pegs, and landmines.

It's one of the best options if you're looking for a balance of durability, functionality, and space efficiency without breaking the bank.

Bowflex adjustable dumbbells are fantastic because they save space while offering a wide range of weights in one set. Instead of needing an entire rack of dumbbells, the adjustable ones let you quickly change the weight with a simple dial, going from light to heavy resistance in seconds. This makes them super convenient for different exercises or if you’re doing circuit training. They're also well-built, so they last a long time, and they’re perfect for both beginners and experienced lifters looking for a compact yet versatile solution.
