Genwa Korean BBQ is a great Korean barbeque joint if you love side dishes. I eat lunch there frequently, and you get so many side dishes! They come in small sampler-sized dishes, you can "sample" and let the server know if you like anything refilled. You can request as many side dishes and as frequently as you like.

There are 3 locations in the Los Angeles area - DTLA, Mid-Wilshire, and Beverly Hills. The Mid-Wilshire Genwa is my go-to location due to its proximity to my work, and this recommendation is based on my experience there.

It is located in 5115 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90036.

I like to order either Prime Galbi Lunch Special or Bulgogi Chicken Lunch Special. When I go with coworkers, we like to order different dishes and share. The prime galbi is so, so soft! The meat comes right off, and the marinade is just right - not too salty and not too sweet.

And the staff speaks fluent English.

If you're visiting K-town in LA, you must try BCD Tofu House!

The place is packed every time I go there, and you should expect a bit of wait before seated. But let me assure you, the wait is well worth it. Their dishes are amazing, and the side dishes are excellent.

There are servers with rolling carts constantly refilling the side dishes, and they are available for purchase if you want to enjoy them at home.

The complimentary hot stone rice is phenomenal!

BCD Tofu House is best known for its soon tofu, silken tofu soup, but my favorite dish is the Galbi. It's tender, juicy and delicious.

If you're looking for amazing Korean BBQ in LA, you have to try Park's BBQ! It's honestly one of the best spots in the city. The quality of the meat is top-notch, and the service is always on point. Their marinated short ribs and Chef Special cuts are absolute must-tries, and the side dishes (banchan) are super delicious too. It's a little pricier than some other places, but totally worth it for the quality and experience. Perfect for a night out with friends or family.
