Must-Buy Items at Costco: What Are Your Favorites?

For Whom/What:

family of 3

Requirements:

good value

Extra Details:

Planning a Costco run for the month. Besides the basics like paper towel and cleaning supplies, what are your Costco must-buys? Are there any new, seasonal items out? We are not a big family, so bulk buying produce or perishable items are out of the option.

If you spot Suji’s Taiyaki in the Costco freezer aisle, grab it — it’s hands-down one of the best sweet snacks they carry.

These mini fish-shaped waffle cakes come in a 30-count variety pack with three flavors: vanilla custard cream, chocolate cream, and red bean with cinnamon. They’re bite-sized, around 50–60 calories each, and surprisingly not too sweet. The batter gets crispy in the air fryer (7–8 minutes at 350°F), and the filling stays creamy and warm — perfect texture balance.

At around $11.99 for 30 pieces, it’s a great value. They’re ideal for dessert boards, tea time, or just snacking straight from the freezer. Plus, they’re kid-friendly and reheat well.

If your Costco carries them, don’t sleep on it — they tend to sell out fast.

Costco has Truff right now. I was excited to find them as they're quite pricy, and the bundles at Costco have the best value. I got the Truff pasta sauce bundle and the hot sauce and olive oil set, and they're phenomenal. The hot sauce gift set includes the original hot sauce, jalapeno lime hot sauce, the hotter hot sauce, and the black truffle oil. The pasta sauce bundle contains a jar of spicy marinara and regular marinara. The Truff hot sauces and pasta sauces are infused with black truffle, giving the traditional hot sauce and pasta sauce a unique aroma.
