Extra Details:

What are your must-have baby items that you found truly essential in those early months? Stage-based items, sleep aids, feeding supplies, travel accessories, etc. I’d love recommendations on products that made life easier, whether it’s a game-changing stroller, a bottle warmer that saved you during late-night feeds, or a baby monitor you swear by. Any unique or overlooked items that aren’t on every basic checklist but ended up being lifesavers?

A sleep sack is honestly a game changer for sleep training! It helps keep baby cozy and secure, like a little hug while they sleep. Think of it as a wearable blanket. It’s also a great tool for helping baby learn to self-soothe without being startled by their own startle reflex or getting tangled in loose bedding. My wife and I found it especially helpful when transitioning from swaddling because it keeps them snug but still lets them move their arms and legs. Definitely an essential in my baby sleep routine.

I loved the Tula baby carrier because it was comfortable, versatile, and provided great support for both my 10-month-old baby and me. It's known for ergonomic designs and easy adjustability, which are perfect for carrying around a baby who’s a bit heavier and more curious at that age.

For my niece, these items were useful.

1. Baby Shower Seat

Using a baby shower seat can be a total lifesaver when you’re trying to bathe a wiggly little one!

Baby shower seats provide a stable support structure that holds the baby securely, allowing you to keep both hands free for washing. This is especially useful since it can be tricky to support a baby’s slippery body and still manage to reach soap, shampoo, or toys.

2. Baby Head Backpack

It's a soft, cushioned "backpack" designed to protect a baby’s head in case they fall backward while learning to sit, crawl, or walk. Made with lightweight, breathable materials, this adorable backpack sits on the baby’s back, resembling a plush pillow in various cute designs like a tortoise.

The main purpose of the baby head backpack is to act as a buffer, helping to prevent head injuries if a baby tips over backward. Babies are still mastering balance, so it’s an extra layer of protection during those wobbly early steps.

The cute, plush designs make them feel more like a fun accessory rather than safety gear. Babies often don’t mind wearing them because they’re soft and look like a toy, so it’s a win for both safety and style.
