I'm looking for something cool and functional that would make my long distance flights a little more bearable. Are there any items that you pack and carry every time you travel?
Airplane snacks are atrocious, and they often ruin my diet. If I'm traveling long-distance, I'm already jet-lagged and tired, so I need to really watch what I'm eating.
I pack some protein-rich snacks, zero-calorie electrolytes, and some instant coffee.
Quest protein chips and Pure Protein bars are my favorites as they're high in protein and contain 0g or 2g of sugar.
I love all protein chips from Quest, so I usually pack whichever I have stocked in my pantry. During my latest trip, I took the ranch flavor. They taste just like Doritos!
Pure Protein bars are great if you're in a hurry and hungry.
I'm actually not a huge fan of other flavors from Pure Protein, but its Chocolate Peanut Butter tastes so good!!
I pack instant electrolytes and coffee all the time too. Gatorade Zero keeps me hydrated during the flight, and instant coffee wakes me up right before I land. I really love Starbucks' Via Instant coffee - tastes just like freshly brewed coffee, and it dissolves quickly in both hot and cold water.
Long-distance flights can definitely be a grind, so having the right gear can make all the difference. Here are some cool, functional items I swear by for making flights more comfortable and enjoyable:
Trtl Travel Pillow: Unlike bulky U-shaped pillows, this lightweight scarf-like pillow provides great neck support and packs small.
Compression Socks: A must for circulation during long flights. Look for stylish and breathable options like those from Comrad.
Travel Blanket: The Cabeau Fold 'n Go is compact yet cozy.
Sure - you can pack other travel essentials like a toothbrush, face mist, or snacks, but if I have to choose one, it'd be the AirFly Pro.
This allows you to connect 2 wireless headphones to any headphone jack, so you can enjoy flight entertainment using your wireless headphones.
I always find the wired headphones the airlines provide to be lacking in quality and comfort, even the noise-canceling ones. And I had to really amp up the volume because the sound didn't deliver clearly.
With the AirFly Pro, I was able to connect my AirPods Pro seamlessly and focus on the in-flight entertainment without interruption.
Connecting it is super easy and straightforward. The box contains a quick start guide, and I had no problem connecting it on the first try.
Depending on the airline, you might need to purchase a separate male-to-female headphone adapter, so be sure to check that. I bought one just in case, but I ended up not needing it.
You can pair the AirFly Pro with your wireless earphones just as you would any other wireless device.
It comes in a cute travel pouch, so all the components stay in the same place and are protected.
It's a reusable water bottle with a filter, and it's self-cleaning and is great for filing up post-security.
According to LARQ, the PureVis bottle is "the world's first self-cleaning water bottle and water purification system. It uses PureVis technology to eliminate up to 99%* of bio-contaminants such as E. coli from your water and bottle".
And I make sure to pack plenty of electrolyte packets (like Liquid I.V.) to help fight dehydration. Love the sugar-free version.
