Asian food lover who doesn't have much Asian cuisine cooking experience
Budget:
not too important
Requirements:
authentic taste
comes with easy to follow, step-by-step instructions
Japanese and Korean foods preferred
Extra Details:
What are your favorite frozen foods from popular Asian grocery stores like H Mart, Ranch Market, or California Market? I welcome all recommendations - appetizers, side dishes, main entrees or dessert!
This stuff is so so good. 10/10. The best tteobokki.
I got this from Hmart. There's an original version, as well, but I can't comment on that as I've never tried it. But the Rose flavor is insanely good. The milky cream sauce balances out the spiciness, so even if you aren't a spicy food guru, you can still enjoy it.
I add some chicken breast and noodles (glass noodles are my favorite), and it makes a satisfying weekend cheat meal.
One of my favorite cheat meals is Korean fried chicken. It pairs so well with beer, and there's a Korean word for fried chicken and beer combo, Chimaek. Nothing beats freshly fried chicken in K-town, but when the weather's bad, it's better to stay home and indulge at home.
Bibigo's Korean-style Crunchy Chicken kit is a satisfying alternative to Korean fried chicken, and when prepared according to the cooking instructions, it tastes pretty dang good.
Cooked in the oven, the chicken is crispy outside and soft on the inside.
This chicken dish makes an amazing entree by itself, but if you're extra hungry, it tastes wonderful over rice or as salad toppers.
Korean Style Crunchy Chicken with Soy Garlic Sauce
Samyang Buldak Fried Rice is a spicy food lover’s dream! It packs all the fiery flavor of their iconic spicy noodles but in fried rice form, which somehow makes it even more satisfying. The texture is great—sticky but not mushy—and it has that perfect kick that’ll leave your mouth tingling in the best way. It’s also super convenient to heat up when you’re craving something bold and flavorful. If you’re into heat, it’s a must-try.
