What an awesome bakery!

I stumbled upon Artelice Pâtisserie in Burbank while searching for a birthday cake for my friend. He is a huge fan of French desserts and pastries, and I was determined to find somewhere as authentic and high-quality as possible.

Artelice Patisserie has 2 locations near Los Angeles - one in Burbank and the other in West Angeles. I went to the Burbank location. The shop is clean and well-maintained.

Founded by two brothers Farid and Saeed back in 2017, Artelice Patisserie specializes in gourmet French desserts like macarons, single-serving cakes (that are works of art!), and fluffy pastries.

Small cakes are on display; however, if you want a larger, full-sized cake (like a birthday cake for parties), you'll need to call ahead to pre-order. Artelice Patisserie has 3 full-sized cakes available for pre-order.

I ordered the Sophia cake (round chocolate color with red on top) a week before his birthday and stopped by the store to pick up the cake in person.

Besides the cakes, the store has pastries, eclairs, and macarons. Flawless French desserts and bakery goods!

The croissants were enormous and seemed very popular.

The staff highly recommended the macarons, though! He proudly told me their macarons were the best in town.

Each macaron is $2, and you can mix and match the flavors to build your own macaron box.

I added 6 macarons to my order, so I could try them.

I got 6 different flavors - Valrhona dark chocolate, raspberry, Earl Gray, pistachio, cookies and cream, and yuzu.

These macarons taste amazing!

There are some cake boxes on display. Most pre-order cakes come in these boxes.

The store has some seating area outside if you want to enjoy the flaky croissants or macarons.

I also ended up picking up a chocolate croissant.

The croissant's so special - flaky with a ton of layers, it felt like such a fancy treat!

I had it for breakfast, warmed up in the toaster oven, and it was seriously one of the best pastries I've had!

Okay, I digressed a little bit. Now on to the actual birthday cake I ordered.

It came well-packaged inside this beautiful Artelice Patisserie cake box.

The cake didn't shift during an hour-long car ride, and it looked perfect!

Looked exactly like the photo.

What a special cake!

If you like rich chocolate cake or French desserts, Artelice Patisserie will not disappoint you. My friend loved the cake and commented it was one of the best cakes he's had.

If you're in the LA area and are craving some fancy French desserts, try Artelice Patisserie. The bakery items and desserts are on the pricier end but totally worth it.
