Over the past year, the internet has been buzzing about Artificial Intelligence (AI) breakthroughs. One of the prominent industries working on AI is the automotive industry - from an AI virtual assistant software embedded in the dashboard to fully self-driving autonomous AI, billions of dollars are being spent yearly on research and development.

At the CES 2024, some of the biggest car companies showcased their concept cars with a glimpse into the future when cars become our chauffeurs - as there is no need to drive, the car becomes an extension of our home or office where we can relax or get work done.

The Saloon of 0 Series by Honda

Unlike the current state of electric vehicles with heavy batteries which cause inefficiencies in performance and interior design, Honda will implement the "M/M Principle" - Man Maximum, Machine Minimum - as it seeks to redefine electric mobility with their 0 series.

Thin, light, and wise, Honda's 0 series will maximize utility and bring the "Joy of Driving".

While having a sporty design, the interior of the Saloon is spacious and comfortable - Honda seeks to achieve an optimal balance between performance and comfort by increasing efficiency in the way they build their cars.

This CLA-class concept car is fitted with a Mercedes-Benz Modular Architecture (MMA) platform.  As you can see, the front grill is embedded with animated star-patterned, 3D lights that sparkle with a set of algorithms. Furthermore, the CLA concept class will be built on a brand new operating system "MB.OS" to provide a hyper-personalized experience in which the virtual assistant will interact with the driver in an empathetic manner.

PV Concept by Kia

The most innovative feature of these Kia minivans is the 'easy swap' mechanism. You can switch out the cargo compartment of the vehicle, according to your needs and desires, without having to buy a new vehicle. These cars turn into anything from a cargo-delivery van to a luxury cab or a camping car.

According to Kia, some of these futuristic minivans are set to be released as early as 2025. They feature a sleek and round-edged exterior style that is prevalent in modern automotive design.
