I would've killed so many plants if it wasn't for this smart tool.

So many indoor plants die of overwatering, and it's honestly so hard to tell if I'm watering them right. If you're a plant beginner like myself and don't have a green thumb, consider buying this soil tester.

It measures the moisture level of the roots, so you can determine if and how much you need to water your plant. On the back of the packaging, there is a chart that lists ideal moisture levels of different plant species. For instance, I have a Fiddle Leaf tree, and its moisture level should stay in the red zone (1-3).

The meter is very easy to read and operate.

You just need to insert the meter deep inside the soil near the roots, so it can accurately read the moisture level.

It is also particularly useful if you have a planter without a drainage hole. A lot of indoor planters don't have drainage holes, and if you overwater your plants, the excess water gets trapped inside the planters and causes the roots to rot, ultimately killing them.

You can wipe clean the probe once you measure the moisture level.

I insert the meter straight down near the plant, so it reads the moisture level accurately.

Good.

It's in the dry, red zone.

I love my Fiddle Leaf tree, and it's been staying luscious and shiny so far.
