I’ve been searching high and low for a temperature-regulating mug for quite some time now. A bunch of Youtubers and Instagram influencers are selling their own mugs, and the market for reusable tumblers are quite saturated due to heightened concern for environment. Despite these seemingly-abundant choices, I was having a hard time finding “the one”. I had several requirements that I was looking for from an everyday tumbler, and there really aren’t that many options that met all my requirements. I’ve finally landed on Yeti’s Rambler 24oz Mug, and I couldn’t be happier.

First, let’s talk about my priorities when I was shopping for a tumbler. I’ve gone through countless tumblers over the years, ranging from cheap freebies I got as marketing goods to more expensive thermos like ones from Hydroflask and S’well. As I was tossing those old tumblers out, it seemed more like a waste if I was going to replace the tumblers this frequently. These are the “requirements” that I set to myself when I was shopping for a new tumbler.

Yeti offers a wide range of insulating drinkware, and after much consideration, I purchased the Rambler 24oz Mug with MagSlider™ Lid.

The Rambler mug is available in several sizes. You can choose from 10oz, 14oz, 20oz, 24oz and 30oz. The 10oz Rambler is stackable, making it ever more travel friendly. The Rambler Mug comes with a handle, which was a must for me.

I debated between the 24oz and 30oz mug, but the 24oz looked more aesthetically pleasing, design-wise. I purchased this mug so it can hold my iced americano I drink every morning, and it holds just the right amount of coffee with ice.

Every morning, I add 3 shots of Altissio Vertuo pods to a cup full of ice and top it off with water. Whenever I was using a 20oz or smaller-sized mug, the coffee tasted a bit too bitter, so I was always hoping for the mug to be a little larger. The new 24oz mug is PERFECT for my morning coffee. I don’t have to sacrifice the amount of ice I put in, so that I can add more water.

The mug comes in so many colors – you can even customize it by adding text monogram or using your own logo. A pop of color wasn’t really my priority, so I opted for the safest color, stainless steel.

You will soon notice that most insulating tumblers (like S’well or Hydroflask) need to be handwashed. I soon get tired of this. Who has time or energy to handwash your tumbler after a long day at work or a busy day packed with activities? The fact that Yeti’s Rambler is dishwasher-safe pretty much made it the winner.

In terms of insulation, I must say most thermos do a superior job at regulating temperature. All the thermos I’ve tried kept my coffee cold or hot for hours. Yeti’s Rambler was no exception. It features double-wall vacuum insulation properties. As an avid iced coffee drinker, I cannot recommend thermos enough as they prevent annoying condensation you’d get from regular glasses or mugs.

Yeti’s signature MagSlider™ lid makes the Rambler travel friendly. The lid comes with Yeti’s trademarked MagSlider™ magnet that offers reliable sliding mechanism. It slides easily, but stays shut, keeping the drinks from splashing or spilling when I’m on the go.

I’m thinking that the Rambler Mug is going to be my semi-permanent tumbler for years to come. It checks all the marks as an ideal reusable, temperature-regulating tumbler.
