I personally prefer Fendi over other designers like Gucci or Louis Vuitton. Because Fendi is less ubiquitous than LV or Prada, it feels more unique and personal. Every time I visited a LV store around the Holidays, I always got the impression that their bags were mass-produced and overpriced for quality. Unlike traditional brands with mundane designs, Fendi screams character and edge with its daring uses of colors and signature guitar straps. Some straps cost as much as a bag, so clearly I need some financial planning because I want one in the future! I also feel like Fendi bags really appeal to the younger generation who value both style and practicality.

I was one of those who were instantly drawn to Fendi’s edge and character. I left the store with the DotCom Click Whipstitch bag, a smaller version of the original DotCom. The bag came with a dust bag; however, it didn’t have a cardboard box like Chanel or Louis Vuitton.
The DotCom Click is such a great everyday bag with its structured frame and metal feet. The intricate stitching is so edgy. The bag is pretty small, but I was able to carry all the essentials – my wallet (actually the included clutch that I will explain in my next point), iPhone, car key, hand sanitizer, and lipstick. You see the bag features 2 compartments front and back. It makes compartmentalizing so much easier.
The Fendi logo is stamped on the front of the bag. The DotCom Click Whipstitch features such delicate knots that are so interesting. The whipstitch really makes this black bag stand out. I’m really glad I got the black because, with the stitching, a more vivid color might’ve been too much.
Because the bag is in smooth leather, it is more prone to scratching than pebble leather. My Givenchy Antigona still looks like new after taking years of beating.
The bag can be worn as a handbag with a top handle or a shoulder bag with a palladium chain shoulder strap. The palladium chain does increase the bag’s weight like any other chained strap. But the shoulder strap is removable, so you can always hand-carry the bag if you want.
The metal feet on the bottom keep the bag from touching the floor. I don’t usually go for bags without metal feet because they wear out so much quicker than the ones with the feet. Considering the bag’s in smooth leather, having the metal feet is almost a must.
The included clutch that gets attached to the front compartment is a bonus. Who doesn’t love a separate clutch inside a bag? Because the DotCom Click bag is on a smaller side, I don’t usually carry a wallet in here. I keep my cards and some cash in the clutch, and I’m good to go. The stud on the clutch is the hardware that attaches the clutch to the bag, and it adds visual interest to the overall look. I love how the clutch doesn’t shift around.
