Herman Miller Aeron Chair: The Best Office Chair Money Can Buy

I’ve been eyeing the Aeron chair for quite some time now. I’ve sat on this chair every time I was shopping for a piece of furniture at Design Within Reach (or just browsing, of course!), and I really loved the feel of the chair. When I was setting up a home office due to the Covid circumstances, I thought it was finally the time to splurge and get a legit office chair. Still, I was hesitant to pull the trigger because you never know just how comfortable a chair is until you sit on it for hours.

I spoke to the sales representative at Design Within Reach, and he strongly, strongly recommended the Aeron chair. He said it was the bestselling office chair at DWR, and he praised just how comfortable the chair was even with longer hours, especially with more flexible adjustability functions.

I purchased it during the annual Herman Miller sale, and it arrived fully assembled in a giant Herman Miller packaging.

I carefully unboxed it and inspected it for any damage during transit. I also made sure it was indeed the right chair I ordered because I customized the size and added some upgrades.

The chair comes in 3 sizes – A, B or C. Most offices provide size B chairs because they usually suit most workers. It is also the bestselling size of the three. However, if you’re purchasing this chair for yourself at your home office as I did, I strongly recommend following the size chart for optimal comfort. I debated on getting either the A or B chair because I’m 5’4” tall and weigh 105 lbs. The size chart was confusing because I was too tall for the A but was underweight for the B. So I consulted with the salesperson at Herman Miller, and he told me I should go with the weight chart than the height recommendation. So that’s what I did – Size A for my petite frame.

The chair is truly customizable - from the back support to the adjustable arms, you can tailor order the chair just to your liking and preference.

Also, there are a few extra upgrades available for added comfort and luxurious touches, like leather arm pads and a polished aluminum base.

I added leather arm pads and a polished-aluminum base.

The chrome legs give the chair a more modern and streamlined look.

You can maneuver the chair's tilt (recline) and back support with the controllers on the lower sides of the chair.

Look at the back of this gorgeous chair!

I can't wait to sit on it.

You can find the Herman Miller logo here.

The chair comes with a user information leaflet for you to keep.

Yes, it is an investment; however, it will last me for decades to come and will save my back.
