In my last post, I mentioned how I love everything about this freestanding multi-door refrigerator. It still rings true, except it wasn't quite the right size for my kitchen as the cabinetry around the fridge was cut too large, resulting in a less-than-perfect look. I assumed the fridge would fit like gloves like in the photo above, but I later learned that the cabinetry was built around the fridge to create a semi-built-in look.
If you can make the fridge look flushed like this, this is a high-quality and spacious fridge.
I love French door refrigerators because you get a large, open refrigeration and a wide freezer chest underneath. KitchenAid's Multi-door refrigerator made a traditional French-door fridge even better by implementing two extra fridge drawers for maximum compartmentalization.
It comes with an ice and water dispenser, so make sure to check it can be connected to a water source.
Make sure to measure the space if you have a pre-existing fridge space in your kitchen, so that you won't make the same mistake as I did!
The freezer has one large, open section and 2 shorter drawers for pizza boxes, flat bags, and meats. You can store bulky bags from Costco or oddly shaped soup jars in the bottom section.
The ice and water dispenser takes a considerable space, and it does reduce the fridge space. If you have a separate fountain (usually by the sink) or a freestanding ice machine, a fridge with an ice/water dispenser may not be the best option.
The handles are sturdy and feature the iconic red KitchenAid accents.
The two drawers have a soft-close mechanism and allow you to achieve different refrigeration needs. The left drawer has 5 preset temperatures, so you can dedicate the entire drawer to specific refrigeration needs. You can choose from meat/fish, drinks, greens/herbs, deli/cheese, and thaw/marinate.
I use it for storing canned drinks to keep them ice cold. The right drawer is ideal for produce as it includes a Produce Preserver.
The fridge has a 25.8 Cu. Ft. of capacity, and it is such a sleek-looking fridge full of functionalities.
