Ha! We are now addicted to collecting Bearbricks - we loved our first Bearbrick and felt it was worth collecting these whimsical giant toy bears. Regardless of the value they hold, they are so cute and perfect! They also make excellent decor for any room.

Our second Bearbrick features Jackson Pollock's work.

Jackson Pollock was an American painter who made a major impact on the abstract expressionist movement. He was widely known for his "drip technique" of splashing paint onto the surface, and Bearbrick x Jackson Pollock successfully captured his artistic style.

Bearbrick does a lot of collaborations with artists (renowned and emerging), so we're confident that you'll find something that suits your taste.

There are 3 iterations of Jackson Pollock Bearbricks, and ours is the most recent version (V3).

The older versions are pricier because the inventory is much lower. But we actually preferred the latest work. The older two seemed a bit too busy for our taste. We really liked the splash of colors on a white background.

The back of the Bearbrick bears the Jackson Pollock Studio print.

Check the mark on the back of its foot, as well.

The splashed paint marks are so very Jackson Pollock and the paint splashes are so artfully done. They are colorful and vibrant.

Like our first Bearbrick, this is the 1000% size - the largest of the available Bearbrick sizes.

You can have the Bearbrick sit, move its arms, or stand up.

Now we have two!

As our Bearbrick collection is growing, we decided to dedicate a wall to these whimsical figurines.

Originally, we considered getting pedestals or acrylic cases for each Bearbrick, but we decided to install a floating wall shelf and place our Bearbricks there.

We found this floating shelf on Amazon and decided to give it a try. The size of the 1000% Bearbricks required the shelf to be sufficiently deep, and this shelf was 9.25" deep, an ideal depth. The shelf comes in different lengths, so if you're planning on using this shelf to display Bearbricks, you can choose the length you want depending on the number of Bearbricks you wish to display. Ideally, we wanted to fit 3 Bearbricks snugly, and the 35.5" length seemed sufficient.

Let's gather some tools for mounting the shelf. The mounting hardware is included, and these are the tools we used for installation - a stud finder, level, tape measure, drill, pencil, and eraser.

First, determine the position of the shelf and mark it with a pencil.

Drilling into a stud is always preferred, so we made sure to locate 2 studs and drill into them.

Lastly, we made sure the mount was level.

And all we needed to do was insert the shelf onto the mount.

To be honest, the shelf isn't sturdy enough to withstand heavy items like a stack of books. We would not recommend this if you're planning to use it on a daily basis and store heavy items; however, it's a quick and easy build for displaying Bearbricks.

Currently, the shelf is displaying 2 of our Bearbricks, but it can fit the third one if we place them tightly. We're hoping to get something more colorful for our next collection. Which Bearbrick do you love more?

Until next time!
