It seems like there are 2 schools of thought when it comes to washing produce. One believes water is enough to get everything clean because most wax and pesticides are now water-soluble. And the other wants to take the extra step and add a drop of produce wash. I don’t think there’s any right or wrong answer, but I’m one of those people who wash my produce with a fruit and veggie wash if it’s available.

I was surprised to find that there weren’t many options when it comes to a produce wash. There are literally thousands of hand wash or dish detergents out there, but only a handful of produce wash. I found one while I was shopping at Trader Joe’s and immediately purchased it.

Unlike other produce wash I’ve seen in the market, this one has a highly concentrated formula, so I won’t need to use it as much. I squirt a drop or two into my produce washing basin and mix it with water. It’s unscented, which is greatly appreciated.

You can choose to apply it directly onto produce, but I rarely do that because I have to use more of the product. The less the better.

It gets my vegetables and fruits clean. I soak them in for a few minutes and rinse them under running water. They retain their crunchiness and taste fresh. Love it.

I think it’s going to last me a long time – maybe even years because I use so little. For the price, it’s a great buy that works just as advertised.
