I've been shopping for a unique cake stand for some time, and I was disappointed with most of the options out there. When I found Gucci's Herbarium Cake Stand, I was so elated. It was colorful, impactful, and artistic all at the same time.
The cake stand is available in 4 color variations - Yellow, Green, Black, and Blue.
The blue one is brand new, I believe. Although beautiful, I didn't consider the blue stand because it felt similar to Royal Copenhagen's cake stand but less sophisticated. But that's my personal preference.
I debated between the yellow and green, and I decided to go with the yellow cake stand because it would make the cake pop more.
Instead, I got dessert plates in both colors.
The cake stand arrived in a signature Gucci box - bow and everything.
When I unboxed it, I thought they sent me the wrong item because the tissue paper was in green!
But nope! Underneath the tissue paper, a yellow Herbarium cake stand was eagerly waiting to be used, cherished and admired.
The stand is even more beautiful in person.
Gucci collaborated with Richard Ginori, a renowned Italian porcelain maker, for the Herbarium series, so you know these porcelain dishes are backed by quality.

The stand makes a cake extra festive!
Now, the dessert plates.
Gucci's Herbarium motif is a whimsical Toile de Jouy design of cherry branches, leaves, and flowers, inspired by a vintage fabric. Although I am not a fan of flowery patterns on china (kinda reminds me of a grandmother's china), the Herbarium pieces feel nothing but outdated.
The dessert dishes come in a set of two.
This beautiful shade of green is so uniquely Gucci, and I don't think any brand can pull it off better than Gucci x Ginori.
Gucci highly recommends hand washing the dishes. I've used the cake stand and dessert plates several times already for birthdays, and I got so many compliments. Truly unique and artistic pieces, ideal for celebrations.
