Villeroy and Boch Design Naif

I received a set of “Design Naif” mugs from Villeroy & Boch, and it quickly became my favorite drinkware!

Truth be told, I was not aware of Villeroy & Boch before, but it’s an old German brand, established in 1748. And its premium porcelain dinnerware is known for its shatter-resistant ability, easy care, and durability and has a cult-like following.

The Design Naif collection is, I dare say, Villeroy & Boch’s most popular collection, featuring beautiful paintings by Corsican artist Gérard Laplau.

On various Design Naif pieces, Laplau depicts various village vignettes and occasional biblical images like Noah’s Arc.

The illustrations are truly unique and make the pieces stand out.  

I’ve seen many people with the Design Naif collection display the dishes on a floating shelf or a china hutch, and they’re works of art!  

Like most Villeroy & Boch dinnerware, the Design Naif mugs are made of premium porcelain. Premium porcelain pieces are easy to care for. They are dishwasher and microwave safe, making them great for everyday casual dining.

They are so lovely to look at!

I ended up buying this cake stand from the same Design Naif collection myself, and the illustration is simply beautiful.
