Believe the hype!
I am in love with this boar and nylon brush from Mason Pearson.
Like many people, I also hesitated for ages before biting the bullet and purchasing this premium, ridiculously expensive hairbrush. I now regret not buying this brush sooner.
According to Mason Pearson, choosing the right hairbrush depends on one’s hair type, hair length and most importantly, personal taste.
Mason Pearson’s hairbrush is available in 3 different types of tuft – pure boar bristle (for fine to normal hair), boar bristle & nylon (for normal to thick hair) and nylon (for thick, harder to manage hair).
Once you have narrowed down the tuft type, you can then choose the size of the brush based on your hair length.
The brush I got consists of 5 rings of fine boar bristle and nylon tufts, making it ideal for a normal hair type. I have medium-length hair that hits my collar bone, and I chose the pocket size Bristle & Nylon hairbrush (BN4) because I wanted it to be travel-friendly as well.
This small brush is indeed the perfect size when you’re travelling, and despite its small size, it covers my hair just fine. My hair feels so smooth and luscious – it almost feels unreal.
You need a separate cleaning brush to protect your investment and prolong the life of the brush. The cleaning brush is included if you purchase Mason Pearson’s larger brushes; however, the pocket size didn’t include one. I bought the cleaning brush as well, and it removes all of my tangled-up hair in a few easy strokes.
I won’t lie, it’s an expensive hairbrush. If you’re the kind of person who invests in quality items and appreciate them, these brushes are for you.
