Los Angeles had a historic amount of rain last week, and there were mudslides and power outages everywhere. Downed power lines caused power outages for hours. Power outages are common in LA, especially when there is a storm or heavy rainfall, and our house wasn't an exception. If the recent power outage has taught us anything, it's that we are powerless without electricity. We decided to invest in a portable power station, so we could stay connected in case of emergencies.

We bought EB70S from Bluetti. It's a compact but powerful backup power source that can power almost all of our essentials during an unexpected power failure or on the road.

Bluetti makes reliable and high-performing portable stations. With a goal of achieving sustainable energy independence, Bluetti offers many energy solutions including solar-generated to portable power batteries.

After doing some research, we decided the EB70S was going to be an ideal choice for us.

We love how compact it is.

The EB70S features the 800W/1000W power inverter and 716Wh LiFePO4 battery pack, and we were told that they are enough to power our essentials when there is a next power outage.

Upon unboxing, we learned that this power station comes in 3 other colors.

This one looks like a Sapphire finish, don't you think?

The EB70S contains a power station and several cables. Let's take a look at what's in the box.

Besides the EB70S Power Station, you get an AC Adapter + Charging Cable, Car Charging Cable, and Solar Charging Cable.

It has a built-in ergonomic handle to be easily lifted and moved around. It would've been a little cumbersome and clunky to carry it around if there wasn't a handle.

This compact power station is full of functionalities!

It has 12 output ports, so we can use it to power various appliances - not just to charge our phones to frantically refresh the LADWP's Twitter page but also to boil some water for tea, maybe.

It's always best to be prepared, and we think it is a good backup source to own without breaking the bank.

Until next time!
