Gift Ideas for Expecting Parents

Welcoming a child to the world is one of the most memorable and significant life events as parents. It is filled with excitement, anxiety, and a whole lot of preparation! I've gone through countless baby products, and these are some of the most useful products I recommend as gifts to new parents.

1. EllaOla Natural Bamboo Hair Brush & Comb Set

One surprising thing I discovered was that even newborns have hair. Am I the only person who thought they were going to bald? I wasn't sure how practical this hair brush and comb set would be, but this actually turned out to be so useful!

The set contains a super soft brush, massage hair brush, and bamboo comb.

The super-soft brush is made with 100% goat hair bristles. I used it to gently brush my baby's hair every night as a bonding experience. For this alone, I highly recommend this brush.

The massage hair brush gently massages the scalp and promotes circulation.

The bamboo comb is intended for detangling the baby's hair. It was very useful when the baby's hair was getting longer.

2. Butterr Nursing Pillow

Whether you plan on breastfeeding or formula-feeding, you will need a good nursing pillow. There are so many nursing pillows in the market; however, I like this nursing pillow from Butterr the best. A good nursing pillow should be firm enough to maintain its shape; otherwise, it's not going to provide you with the support you need.

This nursing pillow doesn't sag, unlike most pillows, and it's an ideal size to fit around my waist and support the baby. The beautiful and muted pastel colors are a bonus!

3. Ubbi Odor Blocking Diaper Pail

I wish raising an infant is as serene and picturesque as Disney movies, but you'll soon realize it's mostly messy! Babies poop and pee constantly, and a reliable, odor-blocking diaper trash can is a must-have in any nursery.

Ubbi's Odor Blocking Diaper Pail is made of steel, so it excels at keeping the odor at bay. Unlike plastic trash cans, it also doesn't absorb the odor, allowing you to enjoy an odor-free nursery. A gift can't be more practical and useful than this!

4. BabyBrezza Formula Pro Advanced

This ingenious appliance makes a warm formula bottle in seconds. Unless you plan on exclusively breastfeeding, there are times and days you need to supplement with formula. BabyBrezza's Formula Pro Advanced simplifies the complex art of formula making.

It automatically mixes, heats, and dispenses formula in seconds, so you don't have to. It offers 3 temperatures and 2-10oz dispensing, so you can increase the amount as the baby grows.

The Formula Pro Advanced is compatible with virtually all formulas, and it prepares formulas based on individual formula recipes.

One of the downsides is that it requires frequent cleaning. You will need to hand wash its accessories every 4 formulas, and the accessories need to be thoroughly dried before.

Because of this, a lot of parents end up buying multiple sets of accessories. But the convenience far outweighs the disadvantage, in my opinion, and I confidently recommend this.

5. Sophie La Girafe Teether

These teethers are not only cute but also highly durable. I've heard so many good things about Sophie the Giraffe toys, and after trying them, I concur that these are worth the money.

They are high quality, and the baby seems to like them a lot. There are many teethers out there, but these teethers are much more durable and favored by my baby. The teethers come in a cute giftable box, so they will make the perfect gift to expecting parents.

What a cutie!

I also love that it's not plastic.

6. Love to Dream Swaddle Up

You probably have heard that newborns need to be swaddled tightly. I found Love to Dream's Swaddle Up to be the easiest swaddle as a new mom because it doesn't require any skills. When I was swaddling the baby using swaddle blankets, the baby's arms escaped right away. Of course, I wasn't very skilled at swaddling, but who is when you're a first-time mom and recovering? With the Swaddle Up, I just needed to put the baby in and zip it up!

I recommend the Newborn and Small sizes (a size larger than the Newborn) for the first month or two.

I hope this post was helpful, and let me know your thoughts.
