Grove Collaborative Bubble up Soap Dispenser & Dish Brush Set

I was getting so fed up with dingy dish sponges that harbor bacteria like mad, and I’ve been meaning to find a suitable alternative to them for quite some time now. I turned to Grove Collaborative, my trusted source for cleaning supplies, and voila! It had the perfect dish brush set - Bubble Up Soap Dispenser and Dish Brush Set.

Grove collaborated with Full Circle, a leading home care product brand that is known for its sustainability, design and functionality, to create this dishwashing must-have.

It is a two-piece set to tackle dishwashing as easy and convenient as possible while keeping the countertop clean and organized, thanks to the neat porcelain dispenser. The set contains a brush made with renewable bamboo and recycled plastic and a dish soap dispenser that doubles as a storage for the dish brush.

This brush is particularly useful when I’m scrubbing stubborn messes on my bakeware or pots before loading them into a dishwasher. I had to soak them overnight to soften up the messes because it was almost impossible to scrub them off with regular dish scrubbers. This bamboo dish brush has stiff bristles that make scrubbing my cast iron pots a breeze. You also don’t have to worry about the bristles damaging the surface. Based on my experiences, the brush does not damage my pots and pans, including enamelware and nonstick surface.

Scrubbing wooden cutting boards is so much easier with this brush. The grip is dead on comfortable, and I can scrub the surface more thoroughly and rigorously than using regular dish scrubbers. The stiff bristles don’t flatten out unlike most longer dish brushes, and they retain their shape no matter how rigorously I scrub.

Because of the shape of the brush, I don’t think it’s going to work well for hand washing everything, like flatware or wine glasses. I suggest using this brush for scrubbing large, flat surfaces like cutting boards, bakeware or cookie sheets, which are usually meant for hand washing.

The brush sits on top of the grey spring top, and you can push the brush down to dispense detergent - brilliant.

I also liked how Grove Co. sells replaceable brushes because any dish brush is bound to get dirty and therefore requires frequent replacement.

The set looks very cute on my white quartz countertop.

I only hand wash a few items in my kitchen, and this wooden dish brush seemed perfect for my needs. I hand wash wooden cutting boards and knives, and this dish brush looked like a convenient kitchen tool to scrub my wooden cutting boards and knives.

I poured in my favorite dishwashing detergent from Public Goods directly to the crock and inserted the spring top in place. It is now ready for use.

Oh, by the way, this dish soap from Public Goods is my all-time favorite detergent. I’m one of the few people who’s not a fan of Mrs. Meyer’s products because they’re so heavily scented. I stick to unscented or naturally-scented cleaning products (especially in kitchen). When I need some fragrance, I just light up a scented candle. And this dish soap is mildly-scented and comes in an economical refill pouch - perfect for the Bubble Up Dish Soap Dispenser.

I probably won’t buy dish sponges or scrubbers any more because I’m absolutely obsessed with this thing. The replacement brush is going to be added to my regular Grove shipment - love it.
