I’ve been looking for minimalistic spice grinders that can be used in both the kitchen and dining room. Purchasing 2 separate sets seemed like a waste, so I opted for the set that looks nice by the kitchen counter and dining table. And of course, the grinders needed to function well. When I laid my eyes on these grinders from Menu on social media, a Danish brand pronounced me noo, I did not even look for another set because they were simply perfect.

I had to get them delivered since I couldn’t find a retailer that carried Menu products in Texas.

On the back of the box, you’ll find the measurements for the grinders, the materials they’re made of, and a brief description of them.

Menu’s bottle grinder is “a high-performing grinder that inverts traditional salt and pepper mills by putting the mechanism at the top”.

Yes, the grinding mechanism occurs at the top of the grinder, so ground bits and pieces of spices won’t end up on the tabletop or countertop. It is a refreshing idea – much less mess!

The box also contains care instructions, recommending against washing the grinders in a dishwasher.

The grinders come in many neutral, understated colors that blend well with most kitchen/dining room schemes.

I chose the Ash and Carbon with beech wood lids. My beautiful grinders arrived promptly, packaged securely with lots of packing bubbles.

These grinders are so chic and pretty. I leave them out on the tabletop as functional decorating pieces, and all my friends commented on how pretty and ingenious they are. In fact, one of my close friends ordered a set for herself!

You can also adjust the coarseness by rotating the lid (4 settings) - each dot on the wooden lid represents a different coarseness setting.

The operating instructions are included which are very easy to follow. You flip the bottom open, refill the spice, put the bottom back on, and the grinder is now ready for use!

This is how the insides of the grinders look like.

I bought a bottle of pink Himalayan salt from Williams Sonoma and poured it into the new grinder. It holds a large amount of salt.

Beautiful and functional!
