I've been trying to find an art piece that would go above my fireplace where a built-in TV used to be. The built-in look was so clean and seamless when the TV was on, but it proved to be a challenge when I was trying to replace it with something else.
As you can see, it's a giant rectangle with a stone accent wall around it. And finding a framed art that was large enough to cover it (without going through a major reno) was next to impossible.
And I discovered House of Spoils - an art gallery located in Venice, CA. It has a store in London, as well.
It has really cool photographs from many artists - some emerging, and I spent hours browsing through the listing.
I was thrilled to learn that House of Spoils offers prints that are large enough to cover the TV insert.

The Exhibition size measures 66 x 46 inches, and it would fit perfectly!

"Canon Drive" was a close contender; however, I decided to go with "Giraffe Jam".
The size was perfect! The print is in really good quality, and do you see all the details? Birds on one of the giraffes! Precious. It was taken by Natalie Obradovich in Laikipia, Kenya. She is a New York and Los Angeles-based travel photographer. The "Canon Drive" photograph was also taken by Natalie Obradovich.
All House of Spoils purchases come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
I'm really glad I went with the natural wood frame. It blends well with the brick wall, and therefore the focus is drawn to the giraffes, the subject and the star of the wall.

What a stylish and sophisticated piece of art that is also functional (in my case!).
