I’ve been slowly collecting decorative objects for the built-in shelves in the living room for quite some time now. Living in Southern California, I wanted to display mostly neutral objects, so that natural sunlight shines through, and that the objects don’t steal the show. I’m not gonna lie - I got my inspiration from Jenni Kayne Home and a ton of Architectural Digest Youtube videos as they showcase a lot of SoCal properties.
The latest addition to my built-in is this Shell Flower Pot from Ferm Living.

As the name suggests, it’s a shell-shaped pot, intended to be used as a plant pot. It does not have a drain hole, however, so it is best used as an indoor piece.

You can place freshly cut flowers (tulips, anyone?) or ferns as an effortless way to bring in some greeneries. Or you can display this pot by itself. The shape and creamy, off-white color blend into any interior.
