LG's Styler is one of the luxury appliances that are not necessary but totally useful. Washers and dryers are indispensable, but a garment care appliance that sanitizes, deodorizes, and steams? I wasn't sure if I needed one for the longest time. I've been hearing so many good things about LG's Styler, though.

Interestingly enough, my new house had a built-in next to a sitting area in the bedroom that can fit a Styler. The dimensions were dead on, and I had no idea what I was going to put in here if it wasn't a Styler. That must've been a sign that I needed a Styler, haha.

Look how custom this looks. It's weird.

Anyway, this little space was what pushed me into buying a Styler, but I don't regret my purchase. It actually turned out to be really useful, and I use this appliance almost every day.

LG's Styler comes with a 10-year warranty.

It cleans garments with steam as hot vaporized water penetrates fabrics to clean and sanitize. You can run a Styler to freshen up garments that need to be dry cleaned in between cleaning. For example, I use the "Refresh" cycle for many of my husband's polos. I refresh them in the Styler every time he wears them and send them for dry cleaning after 4-5 wears or when there are stains. The Refresh cycle keeps the polos fresh and clean.

There are several other cycles, and they are all really useful.

The Styler is exceptionally great at ironing out pants creases (more on this later). It also sanitizes, so you can put bedding, kids' toys, and other items in between washes. I use this cycle the most for my family room blankets to get them to freshen up without washing them.

Also, the Styler can gently dry delicate items like throw pillow covers or sofa covers (if you have removable covers, that is).

I also use the Refresh cycle to remove dust from new clothes. You have no idea how dusty new clothes are, sitting in a warehouse or a store for god knows how long. For cotton shirts or other machine-washable clothes, I just wash them in a washer before wearing them, but for delicate garments, the Styler is the way to go.

It holds 3 garments.

And on the door, there is a pants crease care zone where you can iron out any creases from pants.

On the bottom of the Styler, there is an aroma sheet slot where you can place a scented sheet (sold separately) to add some fragrance.

Because the Styler uses vaporized water as its main heat source, it requires water and drain tanks. They are located on the bottom of the Styler, and I find myself replenishing fresh water and emptying out the drain tank every 3-4 cycles.

It alerts you when it's time for you to refill the water.

The inside of the Styler is lit, so you can see everything clearly.

Upon purchase, you get 2 hangers, 1 trouser hanger, and a rack for placing a bulky item, like a stuffed animal that you need to sanitize.

Satin blouses are one of my most frequently cleaned items in the Styler. It freshens up my blouses and removes wrinkles from previous wear.

If you value proper garment care and the convenience of at-home care in between dry cleaning, the Styler will be a worthy investment. Everything comes out fresh, neat, and odor-free.
