BE@RBRICK (Bearbrick) refers to collectible toys designed and produced by MediCom Toy, a Japanese toy company. Since its inception in 2001, Bearbrick has amassed avid collectors and has become synonymous with the epitome of collectibles.

What makes Bearbricks so unique is that MediCom releases them in different sizes and materials. And because MediCom only produces a fixed number of Bearbricks for many of its designs, some pieces rise in value quite significantly.

We went to Bait in Los Angeles to get our Bearbrick.

Located at 7708 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, Bait is a popular store that sells cool collectibles like shoes, MediCom toys, shirts, and other accessories.

We heard so many good things about Bait, especially if you're interested in buying an authentic Bearbrick as Bait is an authorized retailer of MediCom. There are so many counterfeit Bearbricks these days, so you need to be careful where you buy your Bearbricks.

There were so many Bearbricks on display at the store, including our dream piece, a Karimoku brown 1000%.

It was way over our budget, but we hope to collect it one day.

The 400% and 1000% sizes are two of the most popular sizes.

This is 400%.

And this is 1000%.

This was our very first Bearbrick purchase, so we opted for something on display.

Andy Warhol's Elvis Presley 1000% is a painted plastic figure with a glossy finish. It measures 700mm (27.6") like all other 1000% Bearbrick figures.

It comes in a giant box!

What a handsome bear!

This cute anthropomorphized Bearbrick consists of 9 simple parts - head, torso, hips, arms, hands, and legs, allowing you to articulate them as you desire for different postures.

You can move the joints to make your Bearbrick sit, move arms, and swivel its head and waist.

We love the 1000% size because it's the perfect size to place on the floor, usually in the corner of your room or hallway.

There is an Andy Warhol mark on the back since it's a part of the Andy Warhol collection. We believe there is a Marilyn Monroe x Andy Warhol Bearbrick, as well.

One day, we would like a whole collection of Bearbricks. Can't wait!

Until next time,
