Vitra's Start Clock designed by George Nelson is one of the most beautiful wall clocks I've ever seen, and it's an honor to own one.

This timeless clock was first introduced in 1955, and even decades later, it is still gorgeous and classic. That's the beauty of Mid-Century Modern pieces!

These are some of the wall clocks designed by George Nelson.

During his career, Nelson designed over a hundred different clock models - wall clocks, portable. table clocks and built-in clocks. Each design is so unique and iconic, and it is truly a piece of art. I believe Vitra is the official reissuer and producer of Nelson's clocks after his death in 1986.

The box arrived in a rather sorry state; however, the clock remained intact and in a pristine condition.

The "spindles" of the clock consist of polished chrome and brass finishes, giving the clock a uniquely modern character. Love the mixed metals.

The hands are also in polished chrome.

The clock uses one AA battery.

What a marvelous clock!

The clock is hung in my bathroom next to the shower, and it's such a work of art.
