There are countless lipsticks out there, but finding the perfect everyday lipstick has been harder than I imagined. First, you have to choose the right texture – creamy, shimmery, or matte, crudely speaking. Soon you’ll learn that there are a whole lot of products in between the two textures. And choosing the color is probably the hardest part because everyone has different complexions and undertones – cool or warm, again crudely speaking. Oh, and then there are lip stains, lip pencils, gloss, and the list goes on.
Anyway, I think I’ve finally landed on my go-to lipstick for any occasion this time.
I tested a few shades at a store, and I was so happy that the lipstick applied smoothly and evenly. I don’t like testing many lip colors at once because removing the color each time excessively dries my lips. But the Audacious Lipstick glided on like butter!
The sales associate recommended me a few shades, and Jane was my favorite. My complexion looked brighter put-together, and simply better.
If you have fair skin with a yellow undertone, run to the store and try Jane!
Unfortunately, Jane was out of stock, so I had to get it shipped. The shipping was prompt, and the lipstick was so well packaged! Impressive.
The case is in matte black, like other NARS products.
And the lipstick has a magnetic closure. The hold is pretty strong, so I don’t think it’s going to come apart in a purse or a makeup pouch.
Although the lipstick applies smoothly, it has a matte finish, which was what I was looking for. I feel like matte lipsticks look more natural on my lips.
I’m now thinking about buying other colors as well. Dying to try them out.
