These crispy potato corndogs have a crispy potato exterior that bakes golden brown and are filled with generous servings of mozzarella. If you're craving an ultimate cheat food, these corndogs are it. I wanted to try these for so long! You can find them at Costco, but they sell out frequently.
The corndog has sweet crispy breading and is overloaded with potato cubes.
These individually packaged corndogs can be cooked using a microwave or an air fryer; however, I strongly recommend the air fryer method. You could also bake them, especially if you're cooking in bulk.
These are not as big as regular corndogs, so I made two.
Remove the packaging and carefully place the corndogs on the baking tray.
Preheat the air fryer to 375F and heat for 8 minutes, give or take a minute.
After the 5-minute mark, they smelled so amazing! I always preferred corndogs over hot dogs, so the wait was painful!
Ding, ding, ding! They're ready and golden brown! Cool them for a bit bit because the inside's hot.
It is on the sweeter side than regular corn dogs, in my opinion. I guess it's because it doesn't contain any sausage that offsets the sweet flavor of the dough. On a related note, I was slightly disappointed that they don't contain any meat. I assumed that corndogs by default came with sausage, but I guess not.
Quite tasty.
They taste great with ketchup - potato and ketchup are a fail-proof duo.
