Republique promises diners a culinary experience where French-inspired cuisine meets California's vibrant culinary landscape. The ambiance is as inviting as it is chic, with soaring ceilings, rustic wooden beams, and an open kitchen bustling with culinary magic.

This iconic eatery, housed in a historic building originally erected by Charlie Chaplin in 1929, exudes an irresistible charm that beckons food lovers from far and wide.

Led by the dynamic duo of Chef Walter and Margarita Manzke, Republique's menu is a celebration of seasonal ingredients, expertly crafted dishes, and bold flavors that leave a lasting impression.

From freshly baked pastries and artisanal bread to decadent brunch offerings and exquisite dinner fare, every bite at Republique is a symphony of taste and texture.

But Republique is more than just a restaurant; it's a culinary experience that transcends the ordinary. Whether you're dining al fresco on the charming patio, sipping handcrafted cocktails at the bustling bar, or enjoying a leisurely meal in the elegant dining room, every moment at Republique is infused with warmth, hospitality, and a touch of magic.

At the counter, there was a sign instructing you how to order. We perused the menu carefully because everything looked so delicious.

We were told its coffee was phenomenal, so we each ordered a cup.

Once you place the order, the server hands you a numbered cup. This is your order number, and the servers bring the food to your table.

République serves you bottled water, and look at this cool water fountain.

We ended up ordering a Kimchi Fried Rice and Steak Frites.

At Republique, Kimchi Fried Rice is a delightful fusion dish, blending the bold flavors of Korean cuisine with the comforting familiarity of fried rice.

It is served with generous chunks of beef short rib, pickled radish, sesame seeds and soft poached eggs.

This was a delightful twist to Kimchi Fried Rice, a staple menu in Korean cuisine.

It comes with grilled 8oz flat iron steak (cooked to your preference), French Fries, and béarnaise sauce.

Served with a mountain of oven-baked fries, the Steak Frites was hearty and filling.

The sauce was amazing.

Whether you're a local seeking a culinary adventure or a visitor craving a taste of L.A.'s vibrant dining scene, make sure to experience Republique on La Brea. Indulge in culinary excellence, create unforgettable memories, and discover why Republique is more than just a restaurant—it's a destination. Cheers to good food, great company, and the joy of dining at Republique.

Until next time,
