It’s the season of festivities and family get-togethers again.
I’m responsible for bringing the pies, and this year I decided to go with Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Pie. I don’t recall seeing pumpkin pies from Trader Joe’s in the past years, but I could’ve been just oblivious.

My favorite store-bought pie is from Central Market (a subsidiary of H-E-B), but they charge somewhere between $10-15, which is outrageous, in my opinion. Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Pie comes with a much modest price tag ($4.99, if I remember correctly) and has a rich pumpkin flavor that I love.

I bought one to test it myself, and it’s earned a passing grade – smooth pie filling with a prominent and rich pumpkin flavor.

Goes amazingly well with whip cream or vanilla ice cream.
If you’re in the Texas area, pair the pie with Blue Bell ice cream for the ultimate dessert experience. Ha! I sound like a salesperson, but I haven’t been sponsored or anything – I just love Blue Bell ice cream so much. To me, their ice cream beats Haagen Dazs or Ben & Jerry’s.

I have many fond memories of pumpkin pies as my families always got together and shared many laughs over them during the holidays, and I’m excited to bring some over for Thanksgiving.
