Ubbi's Steel Diaper Pail was one of the first things I added to my baby registry. The last thing I wanted was a stinky nursery, so I was determined to get a diaper pail that kept the odor contained.
Made of steel, Ubbi's diaper pail is designed to lock the smell inside because steel is not porous like plastic.
I went to a Prego Expo to get inspiration and discover baby products, and I was thrilled to see Ubbi.
Ubbi also has other lines of baby products, as well.
The brand is obviously most well-known for its odor-proofing diaper pail (with good reasons!), but it also has bottle-drying racks, bath utilities, snack containers, and bath toys. I'm eager to try them out as my baby grows old enough to take baths and enjoy snacks.
Ok - back to the diaper pail.
It is packaged securely like this. Unless it is seriously mishandled during transit, the packaging should protect the diaper pail from getting dinged or damaged. Mine arrived in a pristine condition.
I got the taupe color, which goes well with warmer-toned and beige nurseries.
I love how the Ubbi diaper pail comes in so many different colors. Although white is the most popular color (so I heard), you can choose from these color options and coordinate the pail based on your nursery color scheme. Diaper pails are a necessity, so I'd rather get a pretty color that goes well with the nursery and incorporate it into the theme, you know?
Ubbi's diaper pail is made of steel, so it doesn't absorb odor like plastic.
This was the most deciding factor when choosing my diaper pail because many other ones are made of flimsy plastic. The steel construction is much sturdier and feels more grounded.
The steel body looks so much better in person, especially if you go with a colored diaper pail.
Another notable feature of this diaper pail is that it doesn't require any special bags. You can purchase Ubbi's plastic bags if you so wish, but it's not a must. Any conventional kitchen trash bags (13 gallons) are compatible with this diaper pail. The 13-gallon trash bags are the easiest to find in most big box stores and are often the cheapest if you buy in bulk, so this was really good news.
It holds 55 newborn-sized diapers.
The pail features a child safety lock that prevents the opening from sliding open. Personally, I feel like I'd really benefit from this feature. It will keep my dogs from going through the can!
