After the exhilarating rides at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, we moved to the lower lot. It takes a while to get down to the lower lot, so if you plan on riding all the attractions and rides in one day, we suggest you plan accordingly.
The Transformers 3D Ride is an immersive ride that lets you experience an epic fight against Megatron and his Decepticon army.
This cool 2005 custom-built Buggy ("Landmine") is an actual picture car from Transformers 2007!
As you walk past the waiting line, you are given a mission - fight for freedom and keep the AllSpark out of Megatron's hands.
You will board the N*E*S*T* vehicle, wear the 3D glasses, and it's time for battle.
One of the coolest things about visiting Universal Studios is that you get to meet life-sized characters from these popular franchises.
We have outgrown it, but for pre-teen kids, meeting Optimus Prime would be an exciting event.
And we went to a gift shop (that is on every corner of this theme park, haha) and picked up some Transformers cups.
These cups are so unique, and we haven't seen them anywhere - not even on Amazon. We thought they were the perfect gifts for our nephews who are going through the Transformers phase.
We have Optimus Prime.
And Bumblebee.
We think these cups are going to be great as decorative objects in a playroom.
Next, it was time for some roller coaster. The Revenge of the Mummy Ride seems like it has been around forever, but this short ride surely packs a punch.
It first opened in 2004 and is one of the highest-rated rides in Universal Studios Hollywood. We rode it the last time we were here too. It was as thrilling as we remembered.
The Jurassic World Ride is one you cannot miss out on. It used to be Jurassic Park; but it underwent a major reconstruction and reopened as Jurassic World: The Ride on July 12, 2019. It is a must-stop for kids who are into dinosaurs.
This updated ride has some upgraded and new details that reflect the movie, Jurassic World. Blue, the Velociraptor, that Owen Grady trained in the movie.
Or Indominus Rex, a new breed that was genetically engineered by the scientists in the park on the fictional island of Isla Nublar.
Be prepared to get wet because this ride splashes!
We were seated on the front row, and we regretted not getting the ponchos.
If you want to stay dry, get a poncho!
We enter into the Tyrannosaurus Rex Kingdom and the climax of this watery ride.
We were just in time for a raptor encounter.
It looked and sounded so real!
The Lower Lot also had the Mario Kart: Browser's Challenge, a dark ride utilizing augmented reality technology; however, we decided to skip it.
Until next time!
