The salesperson and I were going back and forth on whether a drawer, flip-top, drop-down, or swing-open door would be more functional. I finally placed an order. I initially had Anthracite in mind, but at the last minute switched it to beige. Usually, they require a 50% deposit upon ordering and they collect the remaining balance upon delivery. I won't lie - the lead time was longer than I expected, and unfortunately, there was a shipping delay which caused my order to arrive even later. But once delivered and installed, it quickly became one of the most used and functional pieces in my house.
I needed a media console unit that could accommodate 5 external speakers without blocking the door. I was able to customize my media console to fit perfectly within my space, choosing every detail—from the size and configuration to the color and finish. This level of personalization allowed me to design a piece that not only meets my speaker storage needs but also complements the rest of my decor.
Each USM unit consists of simple components - steel panels, chrome-plated steel tubes, and connector balls, but they are extremely durable and timeless.
You can lock/unlock each USM compartment using a coin. This is a default locking option, but for more discreet and important items, you can add locks.
Steel panels provide structure and style to the furniture, offering both open and closed storage solutions.
The tubes are made of chrome-plated steel, which gives the furniture its sleek, modern look. These tubes act as the frame or skeleton of the furniture. They are cut to precise lengths and connected to create the desired shape and structure. The tubes are responsible for the modularity and strength of the USM Haller system.
I chose the glides as the base as I didn't want the unit to move. You can also choose castors if you want to move the unit around.
The hardware feels so smooth, and you get so much storage.
I integrated some glass panels for a lighter and more transparent look. The glass panels are great for showcasing decorative objects and some barware, haha.
The glass door swings open softly, as well.
I added some locks on the glass panels, as well.
I'm using some drawers and closed compartments to store extra blankets and clothes.
As intended, the unit stores all the electronics, including my PS4, a receiver, and miscellaneous gadgets for the TV. I'm so glad I can store and hide these necessary but ugly electronics neatly inside the USM.
The subwoofer fits well in the open compartment.
Lastly, I added a charger strip, so it functions as an all-around charging zone. I don't really charge my phone here, but I charge the family's iPads, battery packs, and other electronics. Incredibly useful.
