I just love this wash in summer.
I used to buy different body wash because I didn’t think they made any difference. I mainly bought whatever was on sale and that smelled nice. I got Dr. Bronner’s Pure Castile Soap because my husband was complaining about how he felt like the body wash was leaving a filmy residue behind. The Castile Soap was supposed to be a pure “soap”, so I decided to give it a try.
We LOVE this soap, and I now buy this in bulk. I’ve been using Olay because it was cheap and made my skin feel softer. Supposedly, it contains a whole jar of moisturizer. That’s what my husband was complaining about. The body wash just didn’t make him feel clean, he says. And after using the Castile Soap, I can see what he meant by that. The Castile Soap makes my skin fresh and clean. I used to break out on my back, and I don’t experience that ever since I switched to Pure Castile Soap. If dry skin becomes an issue for me later on, I can always put on body cream.
It can be used as a shampoo and facial wash as well. I don’t wash my hair with it, but my husband literally only uses this. It definitely keeps our shower clutter free and organized.
The soap has so many other uses. When diluted, the soap makes a perfect multi-purpose house cleaner to wipe down countertops and tabletops. It acts like a concentrated cleaning solution without damaging the surface. I keep a small bottle of Pure Castile Soap under the sink so I can make my own cleaning solution whenever I need it. Its versatile use is great for keeping the under-sink space clutter-free and organized – fewer household cleaners under the kitchen sink.
There are various scents to choose from, but we love Peppermint the most. I find Lavender to be too strong.
The Peppermint soap has that tingly sensation that I love in the summer months. I’m going to need to get another scent in winter, though!
