Eataly at the Westfield Century City Mall in Los Angeles is a vibrant Italian marketplace that offers a unique blend of high-quality food products, dining experiences, and culinary education. Eataly is designed to bring the essence of Italian culture and cuisine to the heart of the city, providing a destination where visitors can shop, dine, and learn about authentic Italian food.

Eataly features a vast marketplace filled with a wide selection of Italian and local products. The design and layout reflect the Italian emphasis on food as a social and cultural experience, encouraging visitors to explore, taste, and enjoy.

You can find fresh produce, handmade pasta, high-quality olive oils, cheeses, cured meats, and an extensive variety of imported Italian products

Eataly has some of the best quality cheeses - from aged Parmigiano Reggiano to feta and camembert, you'll find the best cheeses right here.

And you can buy them by their weight. There are some pre-measured cheese blocks in the refrigerated section, but you can request a custom weight from the deli counter as well.

The market also includes a bakery with freshly baked bread.

In addition to food, Eataly sells a range of kitchenware, cookbooks, and gift items. These Italian products reflect Italian craftsmanship and culinary tradition.

I get a feeling that I'd "gnocchi like a pro", ha! A homemade pasta maker is definitely on my wishlist.

The kitchenware sold at Eataly is carefully curated to reflect the quality and craftsmanship associated with Italian cooking. These products are designed not only to be functional but also to embody the aesthetic and cultural essence of Italy. Some of the brands you might find include Alessi, known for its stylish and innovative kitchenware; Bormioli, highly regarded as a glassware maker; Bialetti, famous for its moka pots; and Lagostina, recognized for its high-quality cookware.

Don't forget some grocery bags and diffusers!

I came here looking for a bottle of olive oil. As far as I know, it's only available at Eataly. You'll find a wide assortment of olive oils and balsamic vinegars.

The atmosphere at Eataly is lively and bustling, much like an Italian street market.

The space is designed to be open and inviting, with areas for both shopping and dining seamlessly integrated.

These are what I got from Eataly - salt and pepper mills and a bottle of olive oil. Frantoi Cutrera's Primo Extra Virgin Olive Oil is such a treat.

This olive oil was what I came to Eataly for, honestly. I try to buy olive oil with the D.O.P. stamp on it.

D.O.P. stands for "Denominazione di Origine Protetta" in Italian, which translates to "Protected Designation of Origin" in English. It is a certification that ensures that an olive oil (or any other food product) is produced, processed, and packaged in a specific geographical area according to traditional methods. For olive oils, D.O.P. certification guarantees that the olives were grown, harvested, and processed in a particular region known for producing high-quality oil. It also ensures that the oil meets strict standards regarding taste, acidity, and other quality factors. This designation helps protect the reputation of regional foods, promotes rural and agricultural activities, and provides consumers with authentic products.

Il Boschetto is an Italian brand renowned for its artisanal gourmet products, particularly its infused salts and pepper blends. The brand is based in Tuscany, Italy, and is celebrated for combining traditional Italian flavors with high-quality ingredients to create products that elevate everyday cooking.

Il Boschetto sources its ingredients from the fertile regions of Tuscany, ensuring that the raw materials are of the highest quality. The company prides itself on traditional methods of production, which maintain the integrity and authenticity of the flavors.

The packaging of Il Boschetto products is not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing, making them a popular choice for gifts or as a stylish addition to your kitchen.

Eataly at Westfield Century City Mall is more than just a place to buy groceries; it's a cultural experience that immerses you in the flavors, traditions, and spirit of Italy. Whether you're looking to shop for authentic ingredients, enjoy a delicious meal, or learn something new about Italian cuisine, Eataly offers a rich and diverse experience.
