Mosaique is one of my favorite dinnerware collections from Hermès. Actually, scratch that. Every single Hermès dinnerware is a work of art, so I can't pick favorites! Since the pandemic, the demand for designer dinnerware and home products has skyrocketed, and it has gotten so hard to buy them.

The Mosaique dinnerware is no exception to that trend. If you are hesitant to order them because of the long lead time, I argue that the wait is so worth it. I just received my teapot, and I'm so stoked!
Unboxing an orange box is a marvelous experience.
And there is my new pot!
I got the teacups and saucers relatively fast, but I had to wait close to a year to receive my teapot. I'm beyond excited to complete my tea set.
When I first saw the Mosaique collection years ago, I thought it looked a bit old and passed on ordering the pieces. Back then, Hermès had great inventory, I could just walk in and get as many as I wanted. Now I regret not getting some, haha. The pattern really grew on me. The intricate and ornate patterns are so artistic and collectible.
I have the teacups and saucers for two - aren't they pretty?
These porcelain pieces are ultra-lightweight.
I sometimes use the saucers as snack dishes - they are gorgeous and functional.
The lead time on this teapot was ridiculous. People say it's better just to place an order and forget about it because it takes years to receive your order. It sounds crazy that this teapot has a longer lead time than most cars, but I guess it is that much sought-after.
Functionality-wise, it is not the most advanced pot. There are many "smart" teapots or kettles that allow multiple temperature settings, brew tea based on the type of tea, and keep the tea warm. The Mosaique teapot does none of that. It is just a beautiful porcelain teapot that is a crowd-pleaser if you're hosting a tea party or a decorative piece in your china cabinet.
It consists of a pot that holds 0.85 liters and a lid.
This beautiful porcelain teapot is adorned with a 24-carat platinum tile mosaic pattern. The mosaics are screen-printed and then applied by hand.
Technically, all the pieces in the Mosaique collection are dishwasher-safe, Hermes strongly recommends hand-washing them using a non-abrasive soft sponge to preserve their beauty and luster.
Now that I have a set for two, I'm considering getting two more teacups and saucers to make it into a four-person set. The teapot can accommodate 6 teacups. These will be cherished for years, even decades if I don't crack them!
